Die Manufacturing and Sheet Metal Stamping

Sheet metal stamping, using custom-designed dies, consists of a series of operations performed to shape metal materials and create the desired forms by applying precise and permanent deformations to the sheet metal. For example, sheet metal stamping normally takes place after cutting and includes two types of operations:

• bending and deep drawing (forming);
• blanking and punching (shaping).

All stamping operations are carried out using machinery (known as presses) and tooling called dies, which transfer the blanking or forming force to the sheet metal being processed.

In addition to its manufacturing operations, G.P.B. operates in the die manufacturing sector as a technologically advanced company, particularly in the production of small- and medium-sized dies (up to 900 mm) for cold sheet metal blanking and small- and medium-sized deep drawing operations.

Thanks to solid experience in cold sheet metal stamping, a technical department with specialized expertise, and an expanding and constantly updated machine fleet, we are able to design and manufacture customized metal dies to meet our customers’ specific requirements.

We rely on highly qualified personnel who receive regular training on the latest die manufacturing technologies. Starting from a drawing or a sample, we carry out the design and construction of the die.

Our production range includes progressive blanking/deep-drawing dies, transfer dies and block dies.

G.P.B. also offers customers the possibility of storing their dies in a dedicated warehouse equipped to prevent risks of all kinds. We also take care of all maintenance operations and any modifications required for dies provided on loan for use.
